Lion’s Den Scottsdale recently hosted a clinic instructed by two time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion, Abu Dhabi Absolute Champion and MMA Veteran Roberto “Spider” Traven.
Traven hosted No Gi grappling clinics for both youth and adults at Lion’s Den Scottsdale on December 6th. Students received hands on instruction from Traven, a 5th degree black belt and highly decorated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA champion. The students expressed that they were excited and honored to have the chance to train with such an accomplished fighter. In addition to hosting A-list clinics for its members, Lion’s Den Scottsdale employs an elite coaching staff with more name recognition and experience in the industry than any other MMA training facility in Arizona.
“We have great relationships with some of the best mixed martial artists in the sport and take pride in the fact that we are able to offer our students the opportunity to train with such great champions during our clinics. Roberto Traven instructed our most recent clinic at Lion’s Den Scottsdale. It was a great success. I am confident that our students came away with newfound knowledge that will help them improve their technique. At Lion’s Den Scottsdale we are committed to being the best and we will continue to offer our students the opportunity to train with elite fighters like Roberto Traven.” states Scott Peters, Arizona Cardinals player and partner at Lion’s Den Scottsdale.
Traven originally made the trip to Arizona to train with Lion’s Den Scottsdale Elite instructor Denis Gomez, to help him prepare for “Battle of Orange County”, a super fight charity event taking place on December 13th in California. Lion’s Den Scottsdale owners seized the opportunity and secured Traven as an instructor for their December BJJ clinics while in Arizona.
