Shamrock to give seminar, then appear at Donofrio April 18 MMA show

DETROIT, MI — Fight fans and interested observers will get a rare glimpse into the great sport of Mixed Martial Arts when the legendary KEN SHAMROCK presents a training seminar at the Fight Club Proving Grounds in Waterford, MI on Friday, April 17 at 7 PM. It will immediately follow a motivational speech “The Most Dangerous Man on Earth” will give to a group of children and young adult Christian students at the same venue. Shamrock, the former Superfight champion and all-time MMA icon, will be in the Detroit area as the special guest of Donofrio Entertainment and Impact Fight League for their action-packed Saturday, April 18 FIGHT TO THE FINISH show at the Palace of Auburn Hills (which will get underway at 7 PM) as he will greet fans and sign autographs.

Shamrock is not only one of the most celebrated fighters in the history of Mixed Martial Arts, he is renowned for his training techniques as well, which he has not only utilized himself but has also shared with students and other professional fighters. He is the founder of the Lion’s Den, a training facility located in Reno, NV (formerly in Susanville, CA) that served as the first true MMA training camp, forming a model for all of those to come. His training regimen for students is perhaps the most rigorous in the world, and his MMA/submission wrestling system has become a template for countless competitors who have had success around the world, including the likes of Frank Shamrock (his adoptive brother), Vernon White, Roy Nelson, Guy Mezger, Edwin Dewees, Travis Lutter, Pete Williams, Jerry Bohlander, and dozens of others who have come to hone their skills and prepare for important matches.
