Lions Den Elite Team Fighters Give Back by Participating in a Charity Event

Benefiting Youth with Spinal Cord Injuries

Scottsdale, AZ. – December 23, 2008 – Lion’s Den Elite fighters, including Ken Shamrock himself, participated in the “Battle of Orange County” fundraising event that took place on December 13th at the No Limits Mixed Martial Arts & Fitness Center in Irvine, California. The Extreme Sports & Artists Charity Event, hosted by Convictedartist.com was put together to raise funds for the Life Rolls on Foundation, an organization that supports and benefits young people with spinal cord injuries. The event was a great success and helped raise money for a very worthy cause.

According to Steven Arredondo of ConvictedArtist.com, “We had a great turn out and are very happy with the results. So many high profile athletes were involved; from skateboarding and surfing to MMA and boxing. I would like to give special thanks to Ken Shamrock & the Lion’s Den for bringing their amazing fighters to Orange County to compete and support the event. Lion’s Den fighters from Scottsdale and Reno flew out to participate. I would also like to thank Life Rolls On, the Surfrider Foundation, and all of the sponsors that contributed, including Red.com & the Bomb Squad for filming the entire event.”

The “Battle for Orange County” main event featured Lion’s Den Elite Team fighter and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Denis Gomes, who quickly defeated his opponent Joa Felipe de Oliveira of Gracie Barra HB. Each bout consisted of 1 five minute round. Lion’s Den Elite Team fighters were out in full force and faired well in the event.

Lion’s Den Founder Ken Shamrock and Arizona Cardinals Player Scott Peters (a Lion’s Den Scottsdale partner); were just a few of the celebrity athletes on hand signing autographs and taking photos with fans. There were also a variety of great entertainment acts leading up to the main “Battle of Orange County” fight event for attendees to enjoy, as well as a very impressive silent auction.  All proceeds from the event and the auction went to the Life Rolls on Foundation.
